Shops and Restaurants

(A note about Shops: Many of the stores on Hollywood Boulevard still have external signs with the old retail names but go by a different name inside.)

SHOPS
Buy the Book:  Now called The Writer's Stop, this store used to be tied into Ellen Degeneres's show.  The grand opening was attended by Joely Fisher and a cast member dressed up to look like David Anthony Higgins's character Joe from the show.
Calling Dick Tracy: This short-lived shop featured items from the Warren Beatty film.
The Disney Studio Store:  Now simply called the Studio Store.
Lakeside News: Souvenirs, comic books and old magazines were available at this news stand.
The Loony Bin: Shop among wood cut outs of Roger Rabbit, Jessica, and weasels.  Watch out for the steamroller that just crashed into the building and listen to boxes that contain various sound effects inside.
The Muppet Store:  Lots of items with the Muppets.
Pacific Electric Pictures: Star in your own video or pick up some personalized merchandise.
Pluto's Toy Palace: The neon sign of Pluto with a wagging tail remains near Mickey's of Hollywood.
Sights & Sounds: Record your own music video!
Sweet Success: A candy store that also featured M & M toys.  The sign still remains.
Villains Shop: This shop was open from 1991-1996.  The Beverly Sunset is the new Villains shop.
