Hercules Zero to Hero Victory Parade

The star of Disney's 35th animated film was featured in a twice-daily procession down Hollywood Boulevard  starting June 27, 1997.  A "Theban Family of the Day" was selected to head the parade wearing togas, laurel leaf crowns and ride in gold chariots pulled by bicycle-riding Greek soldiers.  The gospel-revival/pep-rally/Homecoming procession featured commentary by "Ridges Philbinylus" and "Appollonia Airheadenese."
In addition to floats, there were cheerleaders and a giant inflatable Cyclops.  Phil, Meg, and Pegasus were all featured in the parade.  An angry Hades had smoke effects on his float.  There was also a similar Hercules parade at Disneyland.  Hercules went back to "The Big Olive" in the spring of 1998 to make room for the Mulan Parade.
