Epcot is constantly evolving to stay one step ahead of the future it's supposed to depict.  Even the name has changed.  The park was first referred to as EPCOT (Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow) Center.  The park is now referred to only as Epcot-and only the first letter is now capitalized.

Journey Into Imagination (Includes Captain Eo and Magic Journeys)
Universe of Energy (Original Show)
World of Motion (Includes The Bird and The Robot Show)

These World Showcase buses no longer travel around in Epcot.

Perhaps you saw the characters wearing their "Rainbow Brite" outfits during the 1980's.
