Aladdin's Royal Caravan
This parade ran from December 21, 1992-August 27, 1995. The Genie appeared throughout the parade and the song used was Prince Ali. Genie first appeared as a drum major leading a marching band to herald Prince Ali. Harem girls showed off treasure on a float with a giant inflatable genie while dancing soldiers with swords followed. The next float included camels that spit water and had two people carrying a giant spittoon ahead of them. The two expectorating camels later found a home outside the Soundstage Restaurant after the parade's run was over. Once that eatery was closed, they moved to the Magic Kingdom to moisten guests riding on The Magic Carpets of Aladdin.
Another Genie followed the float. This time his lower half was a giant pair of walking pants and the top half of him was a balloon supported by two performers holding sticks. Often the bottom half would deliberately walk away from the top half of the Genie. Dancing women dressed as peacocks escorted a float that looked like the monkey parade balloon used in the movie while Genie's head peeked out of a treasure chest. Genie's hands could be seen in the back operating the bellows of the balloon. Genie was then seen in a bathtub on top of a camel with other costumes designed to look like pairs of acrobats.
A float representing Agrabah was next. Genie appeared in a snake charmer basket and climbing up a rope. A performer lounged on a bed of nails while merchants hawked golden wares. Camels dressed in harem outfits followed. A group of strongmen in giant costumes came after then, followed by the Genie again in his bandleader outfit. Dancers escorted Aladdin and Jasmine as they rode on top of an elephant that was actually a transformed Abu the monkey. Jafar (along with Iago who would occasionally pop out of the cart and could be heard talking) was the street sweeper at the end of the parade. Several elements from this parade were later reused in the Magic Kingdom's Remember the Magic/Disney's Magical Moments Parade. A similar Aladdin parade also ran at Disneyland from 1993-1994.
